Need for higher education and transformative entrepreneurship
“The way to wealth is as plain as the way to market. It depends chiefly on two words, industry and frugality; that is, waste neither time nor money, but make the best use of both. Without industry and frugality nothing will do; with them, everything.“
Benjamin Franklin
Mission Statement for FIRE Initiative
Our FIRE initiative aims to identify local challenges, examines contextual parameters, and detects existing innovation in low-resource settings. In bringing together students, young entrepreneurs, and scientists from low- and high-income countries in a co-creational space, potential solutions to the most pressing human challenges in the domain of water, energy, mobility, agriculture, urban living, and health will be co-developed. The program consists of workshop rounds, in which each round reflects an iterative step towards a prototype and intervention of an identified need or problem. With this program, we would like to allow students to co-create with and for their local communities in an unselfish way.
To introduce an idea one need to understand the problem. Using a design-thinking process will support interdisciplinary thinking for students.
We invite you to collaborate with us.
