Christopher Adlung

Founder & CEO

Christopher Adlung is the founder and CEO of TAIRIS Medical B.V., supported by RWTH PEM Aachen. His key focus lies on the adoption and scale-up of existing medical devices and equipment in local settings, by combining research with on-site, practical experience.

At the Technical University in Delft, his research focuses on the intersection of telemedicine, bridging the doctor-patient relationship across space and time, and frugal innovation, which refers to innovation developed under high constraints. His research examines how both concepts can be aligned to configure cost-effective solutions in resource-limited environments, improving healthcare access.

With over fifteen years of leadership and consulting experience in the telecommunication sector and within international settings across Europe, Africa, the United States, and Southeast Asia, he has worked in strategic positions to push for innovations transformative change.

He advocates for stronger partnerships across public, private, and academic institutions to tackle complex challenges from a systems perspective. Specifically, he aims to build sustainable and resilient innovation ecosystems that foster collaboration, enhance resource efficiency, focussing on societal needs.

With a polymath mindset, he is driven by an entrepreneurial spirit, using a systematic, scientific, creative, and philosophical lens to solve complex, socio-technical, and dynamic challenges.

Meggy Kantert

Senior Advisor

Meggy Kantert is an experienced coach/consultant/trainer with particular ethics training and project management skills in a variety of countries and branches. Her focus is empowering and developing management, staff as well as students with a systemic and solution oriented, holistic approach. 

She holds an MAS degree in Coaching and Organisation Development from the University of Zurich and supports Godfrey Okoye University, in Enugu, Nigeria as International Liaison Officer.

Meggy Kantert has been empowering people of various ages in a variety of institutions and nearly thirty countries since thirty years. She strongly believes education is key to peace and received recognition of Caritas Foundation, Cologne in 2014 for her international Children and Students Sponsorship and Education Empowerment programme as well as the Peace Champion Award of the Annual Youth Peace Conference in Enugu, Nigeria.

She regards herself a world citizen responding to the challenges of the SDGs representing an international commitment to transforming our world. She owns Kantert Consulting an international coaching and consultancy firm.

I thrive in B2C2B environments where I can connect the learners and patients of today with their learning path and healthcare of tomorrow.

I’m a learner at heart, fueled by an entrepreneurial mindset. I love looking at the bigger picture and understanding how the different parts of an ecosystem connect, from people and their needs to products and solutions, and back again.

For me, it’s about understanding different ecosystems and recognising where they need to connect. That motivates me to build pathways that help learners grow, patients receive better care, and ultimately contribute to healthier societies.

Medical Doctor and Mental Health Expert

Samuel Chukwu is a physician-in-training and mental health expert dedicated to advancing patient-centred mental healthcare. He specializes in translating complex psychiatric and neurobiological concepts into practical strategies that empower individuals, families, and communities.

Over five years, Samuel has contributed to mental health awareness initiatives, educational programs, and community engagements, expanding conversations around trauma, addiction, and psychological wellbeing while promoting stigma-free care.

Working at the intersection of psychiatry, public health, and digital innovation, Samuel integrates AI, telepsychiatry, and digital tools to enhance access to care.

As part of the expert team at TAIRIS Medical B.V., he brings a unique combination of clinical insight, community engagement, and innovative thinking to support scalable solutions in maternal and mental health globally.

Trevor McLeigh

Event Management & Partnerships Intern

Trevor McLeigh is joining TAIRIS Medical B.V. as an Event Management & Partnerships Intern, supporting the organization of the Digital Healthcare Africa Conference 2027.

His role includes coordinating with stakeholders, supporting conference planning, and helping develop connections with organizations and professionals across healthcare, medical technology, academia, and industry.

He looks forward to working with the TAIRIS team to help make the conference a successful platform for exchange and collaboration.

Dr. Gerard Prithiviraj

Senior Strategic Advisor South Asia

“Building stronger health systems through partnership, leadership and locally grounded solutions.”

Dr. Gerard Prithiviraj is a senior public healthcare and leadership professional with more than 25 years of experience across Sri Lanka, Africa, and India. His career spans public health, clinical services, organizational leadership, community health, stakeholder engagement and capacity building, with particular experience in developing programs, and strengthening healthcare systems in resource-limited settings.

As Senior Strategic Advisor South Asia at TAIRIS Medical, Dr. Prithiviraj will support the development of TAIRIS Medical’s presence, partnerships and strategic initiatives across South Asia. His work will focus on building relationships with healthcare institutions, public-sector stakeholders, universities, professional networks and community organizations, helping identify opportunities where TAIRIS Medical can contribute through collaboration, education, capacity building and sustainable healthcare initiatives.

Dr. Prithiviraj brings substantial experience in organizational development and strategic management. As CEO and Country Director of Humedica International Lanka, he led the organization’s disaster-response, established governance and operational structures, managed strategic planning and program delivery, and developed international partnerships and donor relationships.

A key part of his role with TAIRIS Medical will be connecting strategy with local realities, understanding healthcare needs, bringing the right stakeholders together and helping transform relationships into practical, sustainable initiatives. His experience in strategic planning, governance, public health, stakeholder engagement, teaching, mentoring and advocacy provides a strong foundation for supporting TAIRIS Medical’s long-term commitment in Sri Lanka, India, and Africa.

Dr. Prithiviraj holds a Master of Public Health from the University of the Witwatersrand, a Postgraduate Diploma in Community Dentistry from the University of Pretoria, and a Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka.

Through his work with TAIRIS Medical, he will contribute to a vision of healthcare that is collaborative, inclusive and sustainable. He will build bridges between people, institutions and countries to create meaningful health impact across South Asia.
